Military aviation history is filled with aircraft built in the hundreds or even thousands, but some of the most advanced and strategically important aircraft were produced in surprisingly small numbers. The Northrop B-2 Spirit, for example, saw just 21 aircraft built, while the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, one of the fastest aircraft ever flown, totaled only 32 airframes.
