Embraer Phenom 300EV Receives Triple Certification Ahead of 2028 Deliveries
Embraer’s new Phenom 300EV has secured certification from Brazil’s Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC), the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), clearing the way for the latest version of the light business jet to enter service in key global markets.
The triple certification makes the Phenom 300EV the first light jet certified with Garmin Emergency Autoland, bringing an additional layer of automated safety capability to an aircraft that Embraer describes as the world’s fastest and longest-range light jet.
Introduced in July, the Phenom 300EV builds on the established Phenom 300 platform with a combination of performance improvements, enhanced safety technology and cabin upgrades.
At the heart of its new safety capabilities is Garmin Emergency Autoland, which can automatically control the aircraft and execute a landing should the pilot become incapacitated.
Embraer has developed a Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC) to enable a range of electronically controlled functions on the aircraft, including autobrake and rudder-by-wire. The company says the system contributes to improved handling, reduced pilot workload and simplified maintenance.

Performance has also been improved, with the Phenom 300EV offering a range of 2,055 nautical miles (3,806 km) with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves. This allows for a number of regional nonstop missions, including Aspen to New York, Dubai to the Maldives and São Paulo to Manaus.
The aircraft also benefits from an increased payload capability, while the cabin has been upgraded with new connectivity technology.
A line-fit connectivity system powered by Gogo Galileo’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network will provide high-speed connectivity globally. Starlink will also be offered as an aftermarket option through a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC).
The certification milestone is particularly significant for Embraer as the Phenom 300 family continues to occupy a leading position in the light business jet market. The company says the Phenom 300 has been the world’s best-selling light jet, and the Phenom 300EV is intended to build on that position with greater range, enhanced technology and improved passenger and crew experience.
The Phenom 300EV is also the largest business jet currently equipped with Garmin Emergency Autoland, highlighting the extent to which automated safety technology is moving into the business aviation sector.
With certification now complete across Brazil, the US and Europe, Embraer can move towards the next major milestone for the programme. Deliveries of the Phenom 300EV are expected to begin in 2028.
