Air Astana completes milestone 50th C-Check
Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana has successfully completed a milestone 50th C-Check at its in-house engineering and technical centre in Astana.
The achievement was carried out on an Airbus A321, underscoring the airline’s continued expansion of internal maintenance capability.
Posting the announcement on LinkedIn, the airline said: “This achievement marks an important step in the airline’s development and reflects years of systematic work to strengthen engineering capabilities, train highly qualified specialists and expand in-house maintenance capacity across the Air Astana Group.”
Since 2019, Air Astana has independently performed all types of C-Checks on Airbus family aircraft at its technical bases in Almaty and Astana, reducing reliance on external providers while building technical depth within the organisation.
The post continued: “During this period the airline has built a highly qualified team of certified engineers and mechanics holding international EASA Part-66 licences, in line with global civil aviation best practice.”
The milestone highlights Air Astana‘s long-term focus on strengthening engineering self-sufficiency and aligning its maintenance standards with internationally recognised regulatory frameworks.
