Travel Insurance & Health Disclaimer
This policy outlines the position of Yule Trips Ltd regarding travel insurance coverage and health requirements for travelers. By booking a service with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms.
Crucial Notice: Yule Trips Ltd is a travel agent. We are not an insurance provider or a medical authority. It is your legal responsibility to ensure you are fit to fly and adequately insured.
- Insurance: We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.
- Liability: Yule Trips Ltd accepts NO LIABILITY for costs related to illness, accidents, lost baggage, or cancellation if you travel uninsured.
- Health: You must check vaccination entry requirements for your destination.
1. The Necessity of Travel Insurance
Travel involves risks. Yule Trips Ltd advises all clients to purchase adequate travel insurance immediately upon booking their trip. Your policy should cover:
- Medical Expenses: Including hospitalization, surgery, and repatriation (air ambulance) to the UK.
- Cancellation: Refund protection if you fall ill (including COVID-19) or have a family emergency and cannot travel.
- Personal Belongings: Coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged passports, money, and baggage.
- Legal Expenses: Personal liability coverage abroad.
If you choose to travel without insurance, Yule Trips Ltd will not be responsible for any losses or expenses incurred, however significant.
2. Health Requirements & Vaccinations
Health entry requirements vary by country and change frequently. It is your responsibility to:
- Consult a GP: Visit your doctor or a travel clinic at least 8 weeks before travel to discuss vaccinations (e.g., Yellow Fever, Malaria prophylaxis).
- Entry Rules: Check the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) website for health entry requirements of your destination.
- Medication: If carrying prescription medication, ensure you have a doctor's letter and check if the medicine is legal in the destination country (e.g., specific rules apply for UAE/Japan).
3. GHIC / EHIC (European Travel)
If traveling to the EU, we recommend carrying a valid Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) or a legacy European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
- This card gives you access to state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in the EU.
- Warning: The GHIC is NOT a substitute for travel insurance. It does not cover private medical care, mountain rescue, or repatriation.
4. Pregnancy & Fitness to Fly
If you have a pre-existing medical condition or are pregnant, you must declare this to your travel insurer and the airline.
- Pregnancy: Most airlines refuse carriage after 28-36 weeks. You may require a "Fit to Fly" letter from your doctor.
- Denial of Boarding: If an airline refuses to carry you due to health concerns, Yule Trips Ltd is not liable for the cost of the ticket or associated expenses.
5. Force Majeure & Medical Emergencies
Yule Trips Ltd cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the performance of our obligations is prevented or affected by "Force Majeure" events.
This includes, but is not limited to: pandemics, epidemics, natural disasters, terrorist activities, or industrial disputes. Your travel insurance is your primary protection in these scenarios.
