Horizon Aircraft secures $20m to accelerate hybrid‑electric VTOL development

Hybrid eVTOL developer Horizon Aircraft has priced a $20 million equity offering as it seeks to accelerate progress on its Cavorite X7 programme.

The NASDAQ-listed company confirmed it has entered into a definitive agreement with institutional investors for the sale of approximately 9.25 million Class A ordinary shares, with gross proceeds expected to reach $20 million before expenses. The transaction is scheduled to close around 8 May 2026, subject to customary conditions.

Horizon Aircraft said the capital will be directed primarily toward advancing development and scaling the buildout of its Cavorite X7 eVTOL aircraft, alongside supporting general corporate and working capital requirements.

The Cavorite X7 is being positioned as a hybrid‑electric aircraft that blends vertical take-off and landing capability with conventional wing-borne flight, a configuration that the company says is intended to deliver improved speed, range, and operational flexibility compared with purely electric designs.

Chief executive Brandon Robinson described the fundraising as a “significant milestone,” highlighting growing institutional backing for the company and its technology roadmap. He added that the additional funding is expected to support continued product development, recruitment, and acceleration toward commercialisation.

Titan Partners, a division of American Capital Partners, acted as sole placement agent for the offering.

Horizon Aircraft is targeting multiple end markets for the Cavorite X7, including regional air mobility, emergency services, and defence applications. The company plans to scale production once testing and certification milestones have been achieved, although timelines remain subject to regulatory approval and technical progress.
