9 People Hospitalized After Avianca Flight Hits Severe Turbulence, Diverts To Miami
Severe turbulence forced the diversion of an Avianca flight on Friday, after several passengers and crew were injured. Avianca flight 42 from Jose Maria Córdova International Airport (MDE) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) was diverted to Miami International Airport (MIA) for the injured passengers to receive medical attention. It landed safely at MIA at 3:24 AM Friday.
