Braathens concludes ATR 72-600 SLB deal with ACIA

Braathens Regional Airlines has completed a sale and leaseback (SLB) transaction for two ATR 72-600 aircraft with ACIA Aero Leasing.

The turboprops, MSN 1348 and 1357, are deployed on regional routes in Sweden and Northern Europe under Braathens’ long-standing capacity agreement with SAS, supporting feeder traffic into the wider network.

The deal increases Braathens’ leased fleet with ACIA to three aircraft and marks a further step in the airline’s ongoing fleet and business transformation.

Mia Jakobsson, Head of Fleet Management & PMO at Braathens, said:
“We greatly appreciate ACIA’s continued support throughout the changes Braathens has undergone in recent times. These transactions are a testament to the strong cooperation between our teams, and we value the partnership as our joint business continues to grow.”

ACIA, which now has 38 ATR aircraft in its portfolio, said the transaction reinforces its strategy in the regional turboprop segment and its relationship with the Swedish operator.
