An Airbus A380 operated by British Airways from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) diverted to Birmingham Airport (BHX) on Saturday after an unexpected interruption during the final stages of its transatlantic journey. BA284, operated by aircraft G-XLEE, had been approaching northwest England before entering holding patterns near Manchester and ultimately diverting to Birmingham, where it landed safely before continuing to its original destination.
