If you’re a fan of Inspiral Carpets, Virgin Red has an allocation of tickets for an exclusive rooftop gig on Friday 17th July. It is the second of three small-scale concerts that will be held this summer.

It takes place at the News Building at London Bridge, better known as ‘Baby Shard’.

Tickets are 7,500 Virgin Points per person (over 18s only). This is effectively £75 if you value Virgin Points at 1p, but with only 200 guests it will be a unique experience.

For comparison, Virgin Red tends to price tickets for The Red Room VIP suite at The O2 at 40,000 to 50,000 Virgin Points per pair. It’s obviously not directly comparable because those are longer shows, but you are half a mile from the stage there and sharing the night with 20,000 people, not 200.

To quote:

This one’s about to burn bright. Inspiral Carpets are taking over the Top of the Tower with the unmistakable sound of Madchester, celebrating their first new album in 12 years. Expect huge tunes, indie icons and a night that’ll have you singing every word. Goosebumps pending.

Every legendary gig deserves an opening act worth talking about. Arkayla, one of Manchester’s most exciting new bands, are bringing the kind of indie energy that’s selling out venues across the UK — and they’re the perfect way to kick off an unforgettable night.

You’ll get up close and personal as they perform right in front of you from the exclusive 200-person audience. And if you can manage to take your eyes off the superstars (difficult, we know), you’ll have the stunning views of London’s skyline to gawk over too. Not only that, while the sun goes down and the tunes are turned up, you’ll be treated to some drinks from your Virgin Red host.

These tickets are exclusively for Virgin Red members – yep, you’ll be a Virgin Red VIP. And because exclusive experiences like this are much better shared (someone needs to take all the snaps, right?), multiple tickets can be bought with your points but each redemption must be made individually. Make sure to get in quick because there’s only a limited number of tickets to get your hands on.

What’s included:

  • Exclusive experience – an intimate live gig with a crowd of just 200 people
  • A full hour of live entertainment, including the headline artist and supporting performers across the evening
  • A dedicated cloakroom for Virgin Red members

If you’re interested, you can find out more and redeem in the Virgin Red app or on the website here.

If your Virgin Flying Club account is not linked to Virgin Red yet, you will need to download the Virgin Red app and follow the instructions. Your Flying Club points balance will immediately be available for spending.

If you don’t have any Virgin Points, American Express Membership Rewards transfers are usually instant although a first-time transfer may be delayed for an hour or so for security checks.
